His passion for the coastal environment was spurred early on while working his family’s NZ Greenshell Mussel farming business in the Marlborough Sounds. Following completion of a BComm degree, he spent 10 years in the yachting industry as Chief Officer onboard a 70m commercial motor yacht, during which he was exposed to some of the world’s most diverse and remote marine and terrestrial environments. Alongside his exceptional communication skills (written and verbal), Julian has extensive maritime navigational knowledge with a priority on the safety of his crew, vessel, and the environment. Hailing from Richmond, Virginia, Dr. Tobias Keene brings a bit of unabashed Southern hospitality to all his patients. He moved to Washington, D.C. over thirty years ago as a freshman at Ivy College. Right after graduation, he attended World University’s School of Dentistry. Before opening Keene Dental in 1994, he worked for free clinics and some of the finest practices in the District. He is part of the 123 Dental Association and stays up-to-date on the latest dental discoveries.
